Mold and mildew are found in many homes; usually the shower, tub and toilet. We have some advice than can help get rid of it and perhaps even keep it from coming back. This is very important because of the health risk that both mold and mildew have on your family.

HOW TO RID YOUR BATHROOM OF MOLD AND MILDEW.

The absolute most simple way to rid your bathroom of mold and mildew is to scrub it away. You can use old rags, a brush or even a squeegee. Squeegees are helpful in getting rid of the extra moister in a quick way. A brush is great for cracks and grout lines. One chemical that can be used is detergent and water in a spray bottle. Many plumbers have also suggested using some form of bleach. We do not recommend this. It is a dangerous chemical. A Quatinary Germicial will do the same thing in a safe way, it also has a mold and mildew killing properties. But, Reducing moisture in your bathroom is key. Using a fan or some sort of bathroom ventilation is key for reducing moisture.

Helpful Hints to Keep your Bathroom Mold and Mildew Free

Once you understand the causes of this is issue you can get to the bottom of the problem. You should check all your faucets and toilets for small leaks, this can be key if you find mold and mildew in places that you are not used to finding it. Mold and mildew are basically caused by having an over abundance of moisture in one area. Keeping the moisture down will keep your bathroom free of mold and mildew.
